It is shameful but the scammers are out in force around the pandemic. One of the most recent scams is by email. Con artists send emails that appear to be from the Texas Department of State Health Services saying that the receiver has been exposed to COVID 19. Texas DSHS will NOT contact you by email.

The Texas Department of State Health Services claims this did not come from them and they will not contact people through email.
If you receive one of these emails, do not click on the links or download anything and notify Texas DSHS with any suspected scams.
