The Hunting Seasons are Upon Us in the Ark-La-Tex

As the weather begins to cool, many around our parts are already in the woods. As the hunting seasons approach remember, Safety First!  We had the opportunity to speak with Wes Jones with Whitetails Unlimited at the Texarkana Deer Camp 2021 event.

We are firm supporters of the second amendment, hunter rights, and the regulated sport of hunting. However, we think there is a lot more to it than going out in the woods and shooting something. Hunters understand the conservation of wildlife and habitats. The importance of education and being responsible.

From deer to ducks, from turkeys to hogs, the Ark-La-Tex has a lot to offer hunters.

We spoke with Wes Jones from Whitetails Unlimited of Arkansas. Here is what we discussed this last weekend at Texarkana Deer Camp 2021 on this week’s Texarkana FYI Podcast…

We want to put some links here to make sure this year’s hunting seasons are safe, fun, and bring good memories for years to come.

Many of us from ’round here grew up hunting, fishing, shooting, all a part of our “culture”. For many, it is a time-honored tradition. There are some hunting clubs in our region that have members that span generations. Even still, it is a good idea to stay up to date with rules and regulations.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
