Texarkana has a new semi-pro baseball team, the “Twin City Rough Riders”. I met the team at Church Under the Bridge last weekend when they came to feed the hungry. These are a great bunch of kids and we stopped by for a practice to get to know them better.

Angela Holley, the team’s manager, invited us to stop by for practice any time, so Wednesday we hit field 5 where the team was putting in a little practice as they get ready to take on the Little Rock Rangers. The game will take place at the Ashdown High School Field on Saturday, August 21. Follow the team on Facebook.

Let’s support our new “Twin City Rough Riders” for information on the team contact twincityroughriders21@gmail.com

Just getting going, the team still needs a “home field”, we hope to see the community come together and support these kids.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
