The Texarkana Texas Police Department is reporting that a human body has been found hanging in a tree near the KCS train tracks and College Drive.
TTPD Media Release:
We are out on a body that was found hanging in a tree along the KCS railroad tracks south of College Drive. The railroad crew who found the badly decomposed body about 10:30 this morning initially thought it was a left over Halloween decoration but discovered otherwise when they got closer. It appears to have been there for a while. At this point, we can’t tell the race, sex, or age of the person.
It is unknown if it is a suicide or if foul play is involved, but our investigators and crime scene technicians are working at the scene now. The body will be sent to Dallas for an autopsy today in hopes that they will be able to help determine who it is and what happened.
