Most Unusual Lineup of Superstar Artists Scheduled for 2017 El Dorado MusicFest

2017 marks the Pearl Anniversary of El Dorado’s “Musicfest” and for the 30th Anniversary, organizers have planned a dream line-up of performers ranging from ZZ Top to Lyle Lovett, and Ludacris to Smokey Robinson with the South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

This year Main Street El Dorado will be partnering with the Murphy Arts District (M.A.D.), to present El Dorado’s MusicFest 2017 in conjunction with the grand opening of the $1,000,000 dollar Arts District music initiative. MusicFest is planned to be held September 27 to October 1. Acts include ZZ Top, Smokey Robinson, Brad Paisley, Natasha Beddingfield, Lyle Lovett, Migos and more. It’s a little difficult for me to get my head around such an eclectic lineup of performers. An even bigger mystery to me is how a small town of fewer than 20,000 residents can pull off such an extremely large and extremely successful event like this every year!

On September 28 headliners include Natasha Bedingfield and Train. Then on September 29, the Robert Randolph Band, X-Ambassadors, ZZ Top, and Ludacris are all slated to perform.

To close out this year’s MusicFest on Sunday, October 1 is a special performance by Smokey Robinson with the South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. Admission for this concert is FREE!

This year’s festival will also feature Lyle Lovett, Migos, John Hiatt, Robert Earl Keen, and more. This all-star lineup has such odd pairings of performers that the annual event is now getting tons of national attention… posted “Migos Joins ZZ Top and…Train…for the Most Interesting Music Festival of the Year“. Billboard Magazine posted, “Brad Paisley, X Ambassadors & Migos To Kick Off $100 Million Music Initiative in Arkansas“.

The event’s activities planned for the square will be free to the public. Tickets for headliner shows are planned to go on sale in mid-July 2017.
