The Texarkana Texas Police Department has made two arrests in the investigation of the theft of A/C coils from air conditioning units at the old Gander Mountain building off I-30.

The Texarkana Texas Police Department has arrested a group of people in the theft of nine vehicles from The Auto Auction Lot on Elm Street. Those arrested include two 18-year-old men, a 14-year-old girl, a 14-year-old boy, and a 13-year-old girl.

The Texas Department of Transportation will be closing Kings Highway between Highways 67 & 59 on Sunday, September 30, 2018. Union Pacific will be making needed repairs to the Railroad Crossing on that stretch of road and expects that section to be closed most of the day.

The Albertsons store located on Richmond Road is scheduled to close on November 10, 2018. The Sav-on Pharmacy inside the grocery store will be closing a month earlier on October 10.

Texarkana Texas Police arrested Kaneicia Ellis, 26, after she was involved in a fight with another woman. The suspect allegedly went to retrieve a knife from her vehicle during the altercation. The victim was cut in the face and on the head and was treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital.

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana has set a new record with their Fall enrollments. For the Fall semester, a total of 1,563 students are enrolled, that is an all-time high in the school’s 53-year history.

A little after 8:00 am this morning, Nash City Fire Marshal Steve Rogers was injured when a pistol he was carrying discharged, striking him in the leg. Rogers was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle where he was treated and released.

A fun trip back in history, entertainment and fine dining are the plans for the “1st Annual Old town Victorian Soiree” scheduled for December 6, in downtown and hosted by Texarkana’s Old Town.

Miller County Investigators, along with assistance from the T.A.P.D. have made three arrests in the case of a stolen boat and other thefts in Miller County.
