We love Springtime in Texarkana. This weekend brings a few big outdoor events we are really excited about, and a lot of great live music from world-renowned pianists to Blues, Jazz, Rock, Country, and even Classical!

    On Saturday, April 23:

The Junior League of Texarkana hosts the inaugural “Twin City Meat-Up” BBQ Cook-off in downtown Texarkana at Crossties at the corner of Wood and Broad Streets. Brisket, Chicken, Ribs, Pork Butt, Beans, and Sauce are the categories, enter one or enter all. More details are HERE.

The Texarkana Arkansas School District Bands will be hosting the 2022 Four States Jazz Festival at Central Mall in Texarkana, Texas from 12 noon to 6:00 pm featuring our local high school jazz bands, and a performance from the Texarkana Jazz Orchestra with guest, Tom Clary. More details are HERE.

The CASA Colorful 5K & Family Fun Run takes place Saturday morning at Trinity Baptist Church to benefit CASA and the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center. More details are HERE.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
