T.T.P.D. Officer Clint Akin has gone viral. When he sent video of a little slip on the ice to Public Information officer Shawn Vaughn he had no idea how far and wide the video of his little fall would go. At the time of this post the video has been viewed nearly 100,000 times.
Officer Akin was directing traffic at Richmond Road and Mall Drive when the fall occurred. Texarkana Texas Police Public Information Officer Shawn Vaughn told us,
I told him I would make him a star if he let me post it. I had no idea it would go this far. He is fine and he thought it was funny. He’s a great guy who can laugh at himself. He was willing to share to get the message out about how bad the roads are.
Most of the views are coming from the Weather Channel that used the video in one of their winter weather highlight videos on the cable channel.
