New Boston Texas Police have arrested William Beetner, 31, of New Boston Texas in the Hit & Run of a 7-year-old boy on October 11, 2018.
On October 11, 2018, 7-year-old Daniel Emerson was struck and injured while waiting for his school bus on East Lion Drive. William Beetner, 31, of New Boston was named as a person of interest and questioned later that day by investigators with the New Boston Police Department. On Friday, October 19, Beetner was questioned again and this time admitted that he had hit something that morning but did not think it was a child.
A warrant was issued for Beetner on Monday, October 22 and he turned himself in at the New Boston Police Department. Beetner was then transferred to the Bi-State Jail in Texarkana. Additional charges could be filed and the investigation into the incident continues.
