    The North East Texas Alliance of Black School Educators (NETABSE) will host its annual Middle School Conference on Friday, February 8 at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. The Honorable Dennis Bonnen, Texas Speaker of the House, will address the students in a general session at 9:00 AM Friday morning after breakfast with city superintendents.

    Lawsuit Filed in Texarkana Police Use of Force Incident

    The Texarkana Texas Police report that a lawsuit has been filed in a use-of-force incident that occurred on January 27th involving a 17-year-old male. The Police were responding to a fight in the street off of Belt Road that involved approximately 80 people.
