    The Texarkana Texas Police are investigating a suspicious death of Anthony Ray Mathis, 54, of Texarkana Texas on January 4. His body left in the lobby of Randy Sam’s Homeless Outreach Shelter on Fourth Street.

    Corporal Clayton McWilliams was severely injured in a highway crash while responding to a call to an accident involving a log truck on Highway 71. McWilliams has now been transferred to UAMS in Little Rock.

    Arkansas State Trooper Clayton McWilliams is being treated at Christus St. Michael Hospital for injuries he received after his vehicle hydro-planed on Highway 71 at the Wilton Arkansas City Limits, his unit left the roadway and struck a tree.

    Texarkana Police Officer Struck by Vehicle in Stable Condition

    A Texarkana Arkansas Police Officer was struck and injured by a vehicle as he was investigating another auto accident that involved a TAPD Squad Car. Officer Mason Shepherd was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on East Street and was transported to St. Michael Hospital.
