Officials at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro Arkansas report that 501 diamonds were discovered at the park in 2016. Of those found, 339 were white, 85 brown, and 77 yellow diamonds, weighing a total of 96.6 carats.

Donald Ray Coleman, 34, of Texarkana, Texas has been convicted by a Bowie County jury and given 45 years in prison for three counts of indecency with a child by contact involving a girl who was 12 and 14 years old when the incidents occurred in 2014 and 2016.
