Woman’s Remains Found Tied to Concrete Blocks in Red River Identified


Law enforcement officials in McCurtain County have identified the female remains discovered in the Red River by Texas DoT employees on October 13 near the Highway 259 Bridge. She has been identified as Leiann Gaulden, 51, of Haworth Oklahoma.

Gaulden’s remains were discovered tied to concrete blocks. The McCurtain County Sheriff’s Department has turned the investigation over to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Gaulden was reported missing on October 9.

The investigation continues.
