Not sure who all buys into the black-eyed pea tradition for “luck”, but after this last year, it surely couldn’t hurt. Here are some local restaurants that are expected to be open on New Year’s Day. A bigger selection than Christmas, but hours are probably going to vary.
With this list keep in mind some locations are corporate, and some are privately owned and that could determine if your favorite locations are open, or special hours, so check ahead. Also, with this pandemic, that could be a factor in some locations being open.
Ordinarily, I am not that superstitious, but gonna give it a shot with black-eyed peas, greens, pork, and prayer that we have a better 2021

Finally, KFC
Listen, again, not superstitious, but my mom told me today to not eat chicken on New Years Day, only pork. Something, about the chicken, scratches backward, and the pork roots forward. I don’t know, but I do love a bucket of original recipe.
