On August 14th, members of the Special Investigations Unit, along with investigators from the Texas Department of Public Safety and Homeland Security, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of Jerome Street as part of an ongoing investigation.
Kenneth Collins, 40, was arrested at the scene after authorities discovered a stash of illegal drugs, including cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, ecstasy, and THC-infused products, in the living room where he had been sitting. Additionally, six firearms—three of which were reported stolen—were recovered from the living room and a bedroom in the house. Evidence of crack cocaine manufacturing and packaging was also found in the kitchen, suggesting Collins was involved in drug distribution.

Collins was booked into the Bi-State Jail on multiple charges: two counts of Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Delivery of Marijuana, and Theft of a Firearm. After posting a bond of $182,500, he was released on August 20th. The investigation is ongoing.
