Texarkana Texas Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon at the Kylie Sullivan Dog Park inside Spring Lake Park.
According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department, officers responded to reports of a disturbance and discovered that two men had argued over which side of the dog park should be used. Police say the verbal disagreement quickly escalated, and during the confrontation, one man produced a firearm and shot the other in the hand.
The victim, a 59-year-old man, was transported to CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was identified as Glenn Bartley, 70, who was taken into custody at the scene. Bartley has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
