A Miller County jury has convicted a man in connection with the 2024 fatal shooting of a juvenile at a Texarkana apartment complex, bringing the case to a close more than a year after the deadly incident.

According to the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department, officers responded on October 22, 2024, to a shooting at River Run Apartments on East 35th Street. When officers arrived, they discovered a juvenile victim who had been fatally shot.

Detectives launched an investigation that led to the arrest of Kahim Webster on November 26, 2024. Webster was charged with First-Degree Murder and multiple counts of Terroristic Act.

The case went to trial on February 24, 2026. On March 2, 2026, a jury found Webster guilty of First-Degree Murder and ten counts of Terroristic Act.

Following the verdict, Webster was sentenced to 40 years in prison for the murder conviction and 20 years for each of the ten Terroristic Act convictions. The judge ordered the sentences to run consecutively, resulting in a total sentence of 240 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.

In a statement, the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department commended the collaborative efforts of investigators, law enforcement personnel, and support staff who worked on the case. The department also expressed appreciation to the Miller County Prosecutor’s Office for its role in securing the conviction, as well as to the jurors who served during the trial.

Officials said the verdict marks an important step in delivering justice for the victim and the victim’s family.
