Residents across the Ark-La-Tex are invited to experience a weekend of family-friendly fun, local entertainment, and a touch of regional legend as the Official Boggy Creek Monster Festival returns later this month.
The event will take place March 27–28 at Dancing Ranch Farm, with activities planned throughout the weekend for all ages.
Festivities kick off Friday, March 27, with gates opening at 10 a.m. and remaining open until 10 p.m. Admission is $5. Attendees can enjoy a variety of vendors, games, attractions, bounce houses, and hourly prize giveaways throughout the day.
Friday evening will feature a special outdoor screening of the newly released film BogMan, presented by Open Heart Productions. The night will continue with a Boggy Creek Monster-themed bonfire storytelling session, complete with special guest appearances.
The festival continues Saturday, March 28, with gates open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Organizers have planned a full schedule of activities, including hourly prize drawings, scavenger hunts led by local Boy Scouts, and live entertainment throughout the day.
Music will be provided by DJ Catfish and Brittany Smith, along with a variety of additional attractions such as bounce houses, bingo with prizes, hayrides, a petting zoo, and photo opportunities with the Boggy Creek Monster.
Organizers say the event is designed to provide a fun, affordable outing for families while celebrating the region’s folklore and community spirit.
The weekend will wrap up Sunday morning with a service beginning at 9 a.m., led by Dave Rogers, offering attendees a chance to gather and pray for safe travels home.
Admission for the festival is $5 per day, and organizers encourage families, friends, and visitors from across the region to attend.
