Aransas Governor Asa Hutchinson will be visiting Texarkana on Thursday, May 7 and plans to do his daily COVID 19 address to the state from the twin-cities.
According to the most recent reported numbers from county officials, positive COVID 19 cases remain steady, but the number of recovered cases continues to rise. Bowie County reports a total of 105 positive COVID-19 cases, with 68 recoveries and ten related deaths. Cass County has a total of 19 with 13 recovered. Miller County’s last report was 35 positive cases with 24 recovered.
Governor Gregg Abbott has released all Barber Shops, Beauty Salons, and other Cosmetology services to open on Friday, May 8, 2020, with restrictions.
Recovery numbers continue to climb according to information gained from local authorities today. Miller County reports 35 COVID 19 cases and 24 recoveries. Bowie County reports 104 cases with 50 recoveries, and Cass County reports 19 cases with 13 recovered.
