The Bowie County Sheriff’s Department has arrested five people on various drug charges and warrants.
In a press release from Red River Army Depot comes the news that more than 500 people will be losing their employment due to a reduction in the workforce. The layoffs will begin in May of 2018.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department has arrested Kevin Smith, 28, in recent armed robberies where people made arrangements thru Craigslist ads to meet. The suspect would rob his victims at knifepoint.

Two Miller County teens have been arrested with terroristic threatening. One teen made a threatening post on social media in which the juvenile posed with assault rifles, and the other for threatening to shoot another teen in front of a school resource officer.
The Miller County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 6 people at a local mobile home park, and seized over 14 ounces of Methamphetamine with an estimated street value of about $80,000.00.
Texarkana Poice have arrested Ricky Jared Rankin, 24, at his Texarkana Texas home early this afternoon for Terroristic Threats. Rankin made a threatening post on his Instagram account that led to his arrest. Rankin is currently being held in the Bi-State Jail. No bond has been set at this point.
The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office arrested Matthew Tyler Smith, 25, of Fulton Arkansas, and Cassie Rena Scott, 25 of Fulton Arkansas. In an investigation of drug trafficking of substantial amounts of marijuana, both Smith and Scott were arrested and booked into the Bi-State Jail for Possession of Marijuana Over Four Ounces and Under Five Pounds.
The Bowie County Sheriff’s Department has arrested Ikkima Shavers, 28, and charged her with theft after she confessed to committing the crime and has been booked into the Bi-State Jail on the charge of Theft Over $2500 and Under $30,000.00. Her bond was set at $20,000.00 by Judge Nancy Talley.
