    Horrific Accident Involving Log-hauler and Pick-up Truck Claims One Life

    A terribly tragic accident happened on N. Bishop this afternoon around 1:30 p.m. involving a log-hauler that was stopped on the roadway. The semi-truck was struck from behind by a pick-up truck hauling a utility trailer. The driver of the pick-up was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Juveniles Arrested in Recent Upsurge of Auto Thefts and Burglaries

    The Texarkana Texas Police Department has arrested three juveniles and expect to arrest another shortly in the recent rash of vehicle thefts and burglaries. Police have issued 39 warrants for four juveniles in the investigation.

    New Police Dog Discovers Weed in Cars Parked at Bowie County Jail

    The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office newest canine deputy “Lennox”, purchased with funds provided by the Ark-La-Tex 100 Club, was used to do a routine search in the parking lot of the Bowie County Jail where employees park their cars and he hit on two vehicles where deputies found marijuana, resulting in two arrests.

    Texarkana Pizza Hut Store Robbed at Gunpoint

    The T.A.P.D. is investigating an armed robbery at the Pizza Hut store at 3704 N. Stateline Avenue. Reports are that two masked gunmen robbed the store at gunpoint around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night stealing an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.
