What a busy weekend if you are looking for something to do… the 78th Four States Fair & Rodeo kicks off, the 4th Annual Blues Fool Festival returns, and a lot of great live music is lined up for March 31 and April 1 in Texarkana.
By far one of the biggest events in the region, every year thousands of barrel racers battle the clock at the Four States Fairgrounds over a three-day period, and it is all FREE for spectators!
Texarkana officials from both sides of Stateline Avenue came together to discuss the recent overdose deaths in the Texarkana area from tainted synthetic marijuana. There have been 7 deaths related to what authorities believe is synthetic marijuana tainted with an illegal psychoactive synthetic chemical that can kill you with one dose.
The Texarkana Dragon Boat Race Festival is back for 2023! This event is so much fun for participants and spectators and is a huge fundraiser for Hands-on Texarkana. The festival kicks off Saturday, May 13 at Bringle Lake beginning at 9:00 am.

Celebrating 150 years the Texarkana Sesquintinial celebration is planned for April 14 & 15. This celebration will feature live entertainment, food vendors, and a lot more, including the excavation of a time capsule that was placed in 1973.
