    Texarkana Firefighter Recieves Punishment After Questionable Social Media Post

    The Texarkana Texas Fire Fighter that was placed on administrative leave after a Facebook post brought a huge public response has accepted the punishment of a 90-day suspension without pay, he has agreed to five years without supervisory responsibilities and will complete 12 sessions of counseling focused on anger and bias issues before returning to work.

    6-11-2020 COVID 19 Numbers Update – Recoveries Continue to Rise

    Bowie County now reports a total of 187 positive COVID-19 cases, with 100 recoveries and 13 related deaths. Cass County has a total 34 cases with 29 recoveries and one death. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice reports 73 positive cases at the Barry B. Telford Unit. At last report, Miller County posted 53 positive cases, 43 recoveries, and 1 death.
