Historic Washington State Park is offering a unique glimpse into the past with a free chicken processing workshop on Saturday, August 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The workshop, held at Sanders Barnyard, will demonstrate the traditional methods early settlers used to prepare chickens for cooking.
Authorities are on the hunt for 20-year-old Rondarrius Evans, who is wanted in connection with the tragic shooting deaths of two young men last month. The 5th District Court has issued two murder warrants for Evans in the fatal shootings of 19-year-olds Princeton Washington and Nicholas Webster, which occurred on July 6, 2024.
On the evening of Monday, August 12, 2024, at approximately 8:20 PM, officers from the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department responded to a tragic shooting in the 2500 block of E. 24th St. Upon arrival, officers found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate efforts by TAPD officers and Texarkana Arkansas Fire Department (TAFD) personnel to administer life-saving measures, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries.
