The Arkansas State Police report that Flores Reynaldo, 33, of Progresso Texas is in state custody after a 5-hour armed stand-off with police on Interstate 30 near Hope, Arkansas.
Kristi Bennett has been officially “pinned” as the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department Chief. In a ceremony of the official pinning at the Crossties venue in downtown Texarkana, her husband emceed the event and Mayor Allen Brown was on hand to make her appointment official.

We are terribly saddened to report the loss of Ms. Bettye Richardson, a professional artist to a lot of people, but so much more than that to many, many people in Texarkana. “Ms. Bettye” was a great painter, she was a friend, mentor, and she was honest to a fault, especially with what she thought.
