    The Texarkana Texas Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 1600 block of W. 16th Street. Police report there was a small get together at the home when 3 men with covered faces demanding money. One man was shot multiple times.

    Drug Bust Produces Large Amount of Suspected Fentanyl

    During a recent drug bust Police recovered a large amount of the synthetic opioid, Fentanyl, among other drugs. New Boston Texas Police along with Bowie County Deputies served a warrant on the residence of Kenneth Griffin. Police discovered the suspected Fentanyl and a large quantity of methamphetamine inside the home.

    Death of Bi-State Inmate Under Investigation by Texas Rangers

    Bowie County is reporting the death of an inmate being held in the Bi-State Jail in downtown Texarkana. All indications are that the inmate took his own life, but the Texas Rangers have been called in to investigate.

    Third Suspect Arrested in Weekend Shooting, One Suspect Still at Large

    The Texarkana Texas Police Department has made a third arrest in the investigation of a weekend shooting at Sunset Apartments. Police had already arrested two suspects and a fourth is still on the run. Mariah Cherry, 20, of Farmington, Missouri, was charged with Aggravated Robbery and is currently being held in the Bi-State Jail with a bond of $100,000.
