This is by far one of my favorite events in all of Texarkana, “Wagons for Veterans” takes place at the Four States Fairgrounds on Saturday, March 11. Chuckwagons from all over the country make the trip to participate in this event. If you haven’t been, make this your year!
The Texarkana Texas Police Department has shared some information on a drug bust that turned up hundreds of fentanyl-laced pills sent straight from a Mexican drug cartel.
The Texarkana Mardi Gras Parade is scheduled for “Rollin’ down Broad” on Saturday, February 18, 2023, but the downtown Mardi Gras Carnival at Crossties is set for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Floats, bands, vendors, and a lot more!
Another facility is growing their operations at the TexAmericas Center with Maverick Pipe investing $20 million over the next 18 months and hiring on 40 plus new employees.
The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office reports that Derrelexis Dewayne Betts has been arrested and charged with murder. He is currently being held in the Bi-State Jail. The bail has not yet been set for Betts.

A Texarkana grandmother and her grandson were arrested by TTPD and charged with deadly conduct after she provided a handgun to her grandchild for a fight with another boy. She was transported to Bi-State and the grandson went to JDC.
