Bowie County reports a total of 126 positive COVID-19 cases, with 78 recoveries and 12 related deaths. Cass County has a total 28 cases with 20 recoveries. Miller County reports 42 positive cases with 40 recoveries and 1 death. TDCJ reports that there are 46 positive cases at the Telford Unit in New Boston.

A headline was posted on social media claiming that Bowie County’s positive COVID 19 cases had increased by 20 in one day. That is because the TDHS has now added TDCJ cases to local counties. However, the Joint Operations Center will still maintain individual numbers for both populations.
