Free testing for COVID 19 will be provided to all at the Texarkana-Bowie County Family Health Center located at 902 W. 12th Street in Texarkana Texas. Free testing will be offered Monday- Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
October 9 thru 11, 2020 the Four States Fairgrounds will host “Lucky Dog 2020” barrel racing with some of the fastest ladies on the circuit will be racing the clock for the $8,700 in added money and of course, the big buckles and saddles. Spectators get in for free!
Texarkana Texas Police arrested Jimmy Lyons and he is in jail facing burglary charges. Lyons was discovered in the home when the owner returned unexpectedly. She called the police and they found Lyons hiding in the woman’s bathroom.
On Saturday, December 19, 2020, the Perot Theatre goes “Frozen” with their Perot Holiday Traditions. There will be showings of the Frozen movies, vendors, Santa himself, and a 100% chance for snow on Main Street.
Police are seeking information on the location of a missing person from Texarkana. Mr. Charlie Lambert, 71, left his daughter’s apartment on College Drive about 7:30 Thursday night, and she hasn’t seen him since. He has not been to his home in Waldo, AR either.
The Texarkana Texas Police are searching for information that will lead to the identity of the person responsible for this case of animal abuse. The suspect’s vehicle was caught on camera.
These are the latest COVID 19 numbers released by our local health authorities. Bowie County reports a total of 1,345 positive COVID-19 cases, with 71 deaths. Cass County has a total of 375 cases with 299 recovered and 15 deaths. Miller County reports a total of 810 positive cases, 751 recoveries, and 10 deaths.
The Texarkana Texas Police Department is investigating another case of an ATM theft, or this time an attempted theft. Police arrested Reginald Cole of Missouri City, Texas but several other suspects were able to evade arrest after trying to rob the ATM at the Texar branch on Richmond Road.

The Texarkana Arkansas Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect in a Tuesday afternoon homicide in the College Hill area.
