One person was injured this afternoon in an accident involving a Lifenet Ambulance that was responding to an assistance call at the time and was occupied by two crew members. The driver of the second vehicle was transported to a local hospital and the accident is under investigation.
Bowie County is now under a burn ban. Officials have been overwhelmed lately with brush fires proving to many just how dangerous conditions are. Bowie County Judge James Carlow has now ordered a burn ban for the county.
The Geminid Meteor Shower is expected to peak Wednesday, December 13 with a spectacular showing in the Eastern sky. Thow the peak is expected tonight around 2 am, Geminid parent body Comet 3200 Phaethon will make a close pass of Earth on December 16.

The number that has been associated with this scam, 903.949.3089, appears to be spoofed, and is actually originating from outside of the United States.

Law Enforcement officers in Hempstead County Arkansas have made an arrest that resulted in the confiscation of drugs, cash, and a lot of guns. James Anderson, 32, of Illinois was arrested and charged with Careless and Prohibited Driving, Disobeying a Stop Sign, No Headlights, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), and Possession of Controlled Substance (Marijuana).

Time for the 19th Annual Bramlett Beans & Cornbread event at Southwest Center in Texarkana on Thursday, December 7, 2017, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Christmas Basket program, a volunteer effort by the Cities of Texarkana, Texas and Texarkana, Arkansas and Texarkana Water Utilities that provides holiday food for families in need who reside in the Texarkana area.
