The Texarkana Texas Police Department arrested Shemar Harris, 18, of Texarkana Arkansas, on Saturday at Academy Sports for several charges after he fled from an off-duty officer and pointed a gun at a citizen who was trying to assist the officer.
An East Texas woman with ties to Texarkana has died under suspicious circumstances on a Key West Florida Beach and her death is being investigated by detectives as a possible homicide.
The Texarkana Texas Police are investigating a stabbing incident at Walmart on New Boston Road. Police responded to the call of a naked man in the parking lot. When police arrived the man began stabbing himself with a knife and later died from his wounds.
The Texarkana Texas Police Department has arrested three 17-year-old men in connection to a string of robberies last week. Adrian Black, Mone’treiyos Green, and Jadan West, all of Texarkana Arkansas, have been arrested and charged with three counts of Aggravated Robbery and are being held in the Bi-State Jail.

The Wake Village Police Department is investigating a Sunday evening robbery at the Dollar General Store located at 910 N. Kings Highway. Police responded to the store around 9:20 p.m. and the suspect was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money.
Thousands applied for permits for the upcoming Arkansas 2017 Alligator Hunting Season but only 101 hunters were chosen to receive permits for the upcoming seasons that run from September 15-18 and September 22-25. Out of those lucky hunters drawn for permits, 10 are from the Texarkana area.
