The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department has released their plans for dealing with traffic at the Four States Fairgrounds for the scheduled “Sparks in the Park” event on Saturday, June 24.
Rescuers were finally able to catch “Cheeto” a dog with his head stuck in a plastic cheese puff container. The dog was first spotted weeks ago and searchers have been trying to find and save him. Today, Greg King was able to spot and save the pup!
Originally dedicated by Congressman Wright Patman in 1939 Liberty Eylau’s “Rock School” is being razed for the multi-million dollar expansion and improvement initiative for the school district. Some of the school’s facade is being saved to use in the reconstruction of the primary school campus.

The Texarkana Texas Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at a party taking place in the 2300 block of 17th Street on Thursday evening. Two young men ages 17 and 18 were both struck in the chest and underwent surgery at Wadley Regional Medical Center.

Search teams were able to find and recover the body of Ryan Shane Johnson, 21, of Fouke Arkansas from the Sulphur River around 12:15 pm Thursday afternoon. Johnson went missing Tuesday evening while wading in the current with friends near Smith Park.

We recently reported cases where people were trying to pass “fake movie money” at local businesses. Now the Texarkana Texas Police Department have arrested Bobbie Slater, 28, of Maud Texas for Forgery after she attempted to pass one of these fake bills at a Texarkana convenience store.
