The 2021 bi-state football rivalry between the Texas High School Tigers and the Arkansas High Razorbacks will have to simmer for another year. The decision has been made to cancel the annual game again for the second year over COVID 19 fears.
Red River Army Depot has announced that a reduction in the workforce will take place beginning in October of 2021. This will affect up to 180 contract and government employees.
This Saturday, August 28 is the Caddo Area Council Sporting Clays Classic at Rocky Creek Outdoors located at 4001 S. Stateline Avenue. This is to raise funds to help send Scouts to camps, also provide membership fees, uniforms, handbooks, and allow Scouts to attend Council events, who otherwise could not afford to due to financial hardship.

The Pleasant Grove Independent School District has reported a high number of positive COVID cases among students and staff. Due to this, the district is fogging all campuses to sanitize, and will install electrostatic foggers in some areas of the schools.
The Texarkana Texas Police are searching for a vehicle involved in an early morning accident on Stateline Avenue. A pedestrian was struck, and the vehicle originally stopped. Though not believed at fault, the driver left the scene.

Kentrell Nard, 34, of Texarkana Texas was arrested last Friday for assaulting his girlfriend. Less than 6 hours after posting a $3,000 bond Nard was arrested for assaulting her again. This time, he got stabbed, and another $53,000 bond and charges for Felony Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Another Crime, Violation of a Protective Order, and Possession of Marijuana.
