This year the Sparks in the Park Independence Day Fireworks Show will be held almost 10 days before the Fourth of July on Saturday June 25 at the Four States Fairgrounds in Texarkana.

The National Weather Service has surveyed damages from Monday nights storms across east Texas. Per the NWS assessment the damages here in Texarkana ware most likely from straight line winds.

It was a gorgeous day for the Dierkson Memorial Hospice Senior Day at Spring Lake Park. The event is an annual celebration of senior adults with food, entertainment and activities provided free of charge in honor of Senior Awareness month and National Nursing Home week.

Marvin Arrell Stanton of Texarkana Arkansas was found guilty in the murder of 22-year-old Jesse James Hamilton, and sentenced to life in prison, and 15 years for using a firearm in commission of a crime. The sentences will run consecutively.
We follow Painting with a Twist – Texarkana and had been wanting to experience the place and see if we could create a masterpiece of our own. So, when we saw a pic of one of the paintings they teach you to do jumped out at us, I made a call. I am so glad i did, because it was truly enjoyable with a little bit of paint, a little bit of wine, and a bunch of fun.

One brick at a time area bikers have been raising funds to build a Memorial Wall for fallen riders. A fundraiser has been scheduled for Saturday May 14 at the Four States Fairgrounds. The event will include, BBQ, Bounce Houses, 50/50 drawing, Poker Run, Bike Show and more.
