After hearing so many great things from on line and word of mouth, I finally had a chance to visit the Lightning Arrow Steakhouse in Nash Texas on a Friday night to see for myself if the place was indeed as great as everyone has been saying.

Bryce’s Cafeteria will be re-opening for lunch today at 11:00 A.M.. The management and staff of the restaurant worked diligently through the night to make corrections required by the Texas State Health Code, and have passed the re-inspection this morning with a score of 89.

The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department reports that a 2-year-old Texarkana Arkansas boy received a gunshot wound to the head has been airlifted to Little Rock, Arkansas in critical condition.

Deputies with the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office are seeking a salary increase. The pay increase would mean pay parity with the Texarkana Texas Police Department. T.T.P.D. officers are paid significantly more than deputies with B.C.S.O..

Former Arkansas State Senator and Texarkana Lawyer Wayne Dowd passed away Thursday morning in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was 74 years old.

Today was a bittersweet day for Maurice and Peggy LeFevre, the new “former owners” of Whiskey River Harley Davidson in Texarkana, Texas. The dealership is now owned and managed by Adam Smith and the LeFevre’s are going to enjoy some retirement with each other.

A Texarkana Texas woman was arrested and charged with Reckless Driving after a police officer witnessed her driving with a man on the hood of her car.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the Ark-La-Tex with expected heat indices on Wednesday and Thursday from 105 to 108 degrees. Hot enough to cause extreme illnesses or even death.

UPDATE: 6/11/16 at 9:55 a.m. – Police have received information that Ms. Brown was on a train headed to Illinois. As a result, we no longer consider her missing and have discontinued the search. Texarkana Texas Police are searching for a missing and believed endangered senior citizen and are looking to the community for assistance. Police have been searching overnight for Mabel Brown, 80, last seen at her home in the 9000 block of Holmes Lane last night at approximately 7:00 p.m..

The Healing Place and Total Life Outreach have begun their Summer Food Service Program to feed area children. T.I.S.D. will also be providing breakfast and lunch for area children free of charge.

There are reports from law enforcement and witnesses that there was gunfire near the baggage claim area today at Love Field Airport in Dallas Texas just before 1:00 p.m.. Here is video reported to be of the incident.
