The Ark-La-Tex region faced severe weather conditions on Monday, July 8, as Beryl, downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane, moved through the area after striking the Texas coast. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Shreveport was exceptionally busy, issuing a record-breaking 67 warnings and confirming 19 tornadoes.
