These two women are accused of stealing almost $50,000 in just 3 months while working as caregivers for the two women, a mother, and daughter. In his daily address to the state, Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson has issued an order that requires residents to wear face masks in public places in an effort to slow the spread of COVID 19. The order takes effect on Monday, July 20 and can carry a penalty of up to $500.
Texarkana Texas Police have arrested Adam Post of Wake Village for an alleged sexual assault that occurred on July 3, 2020. Post is currently in the Bi-State Jail with a $100,000 bond.

Due to the continued spread of the COVID 19 virus, officials with Texarkana Texas have decided to cease the Saturday farmer’s markets downtown, but have an option for buyers to still get fresh, locally grown produce from local growers.
The 76th Annual Four States Fair and Rodeo will not happen this year. The parade, Demolition Derby, Carnival, PRCA Rodeo, and exhibits will all be postponed until April 2 – 11, 2021. Many of the livestock events will still take place this September.

For the first time since World War II, the Texas State Fair for 2020 is cancelled. Officials are cancelling the fair because of the COVID 19 pandemic. Fair officials are still working to find a way to still have the Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction and other educational programs.
The decision has been made regarding the 50th Annual “New Boston Pioneer Days” for 2020, and due to the pandemic, there will be no festival this year.

Cass County Judge Becky Wilbanks has decided to opt-out of Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s order to wear coverings over your mouth and nose when in public places. However, if active COVID 19 cases continue to rise, the order will be revisited.
