Thousands of people in Texarkana and surrounding areas remember their first introduction to magic through a local legend, Bobo the Magician. I remember seeing Bobo perform at my school and was once chosen to assist him with a trick on stage. Bobo passed away in 1996, but his works are still very influential in the world of magic today.

The Texarkana Texas Police are investigating the theft of an automatic teller machine from the Red River Credit Union location on University in Texarkana Texas. Thieves used equipment stolen from a nearby construction site to aid in the robbery.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is searching for Jucquian Tyson, and Keanu White in connection to recent auto thefts. Subsequently, the two stolen vehicles were used in an attempt to rob a local pawn shop.
The entire community is mourning the death of corrections officer Lisa Mauldin in an attack by an inmate at the Miller County Detention Center. The Miller County Sheriff’s Office has released the planned route for the funeral procession.
The Texarkana Arkansas Fire Department along with other agencies responded to a call for an out of control grass fire near the Lantz Lurry Juvenile Detention Center at 19th and the Loop. Firefighters quickly gained control of the fire.

Around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon a major wreck on Interstate 30 slowed traffic in the westbound lane near Kings Highway. The wreck is now cleaned up and traffic should be moving normally soon.
Arrangements have been made for the funeral services of slain Miller County Corrections Officer Lisa Mauldin. Mauldin died from her injuries in an attack by an inmate at the Miller County Detention Center on Sunday.
The Ark-La-Tex 100 Club has stepped forward to assist the family of slain Miller County Corrections Officer Lisa Mauldin, with a donation of $15,000 to aid with any needs the family may have. C.O. Lisa Maulding was killed on Sunday at the Miller County Detention Center.

A local 14-year-old boy was critically injured in an accidental shooting on Monday night. The teen was airlifted to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport in critical condition. The incident is under investigation.

Tramell Hunter, 27, is the inmate accused of attacking two female correctional officers at the Miller County Detention Center. One officer died from her injuries and another is in serious condition at a hospital in Little Rock. Hunter appeared this morning before Miller County Judge Wren Autrey.
Sunday afternoon two female corrections officers at the Miller County Detention Center were attacked by an inmate. Officer Lisa Mauldin died from her injuries and Officer Demaris Allen was transferred to a hospital in Little Rock. Her latest condition is unknown.
