A huge day of performances by some of Texarkana’s finest talents is scheduled for Sunday, November 13 at Scottie’s Grill. This day of live music has been dubbed “Crank for Frank”, and it’s to benefit beloved local producer Frank Pryor as he deals with a brain tumor.

The M.C.S.O. is seeking Charles William Stevens, 25 as a suspect in a recent theft over $1,000.

The Texarkana Arkansas Police, along with the Miller County Sheriff’s Department are teaming up the Texarkana Arkansas School District to give the community to fight pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday, October 22nd.

UPDATE: Kiara made contact with her family early Monday morning. She is safe, but parents still have no idea of her location. Nash Texas Police are searching for Kiara Brown, 15, missing since Friday afternoon. Kiara is 15, 5 foot, 5 inches tall and was reported missing by her mother Friday night.

The Miller County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information that would lead to finding 13-year-old Hailey Michelle Lafayette. Do you have any information that would help authorities know that she is safe?

Texarkana Texas Firefighters responded to a house fire on Olive Street Sunday morning around 7:00 a.m., firefighters entered the burning home and quickly located a resident trapped inside. Lifenet transported the resident to a local hospital. 

Texarkana Police responded to a home on Robinhood Lane near Charlotte Street after receiving reports from the resident’s mother that she was on the phone with him and heard gunshots. Officers when to the man’s door and knocked and got no response, as they were knocking again a gunshot rang out from inside the door.

The first “E.A.A. Fly-In” is in the books for the new Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1582 based at Texarkana Regional Airport. Many local pilots had their planes on display, including the U.S. Airforce with their C-130 Hercules for the public to explore.

Chico has become famous as “Texarkana’s Beloved Capybara” and some would say that fame is international, with Chico being featured in an upcoming British documentary episode of “World of the Weird”. Well, things aren’t going very well for Chico. His Facebook Page confirms that Chico is being treated for “Renal Failure”.

Richard “Dick” Hanson, 68, of Butte La Rose Louisiana was found dead in his home. Three people are behind bars and charged with his murder. Dick Hanson was the carnival vendor and promoter of multiple events at the Four States Fairgrounds for decades.

The images are disturbing and heartbreaking as inmate Michael Sabbie, 35, pleads with corrections officers at the Bi-State Jail in Texarkana for help. Sabbie repeatedly begs for help saying that he cannot breathe. The video is getting national attention as it has now been posted by the Huffington Post.

After sharing the information for an upcoming long-drive contest to be held at Texarkana Golf Ranch benefitting the Bunch Woodview and Cornerstone Healthy Living Community with “Fidget Blankets”. I wanted to share more about the need for these “fidget blankets”.

The Texarkana Arkansas Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred overnight at the intersection of East 10th and California Streets that left one man dead, and a woman in custody facing murder charges.

The Texarkana Texas Police Department is searching for the Wilmer Hill, 21, the father of a baby that was the center of a “Critical Missing Persons Alert” issued by the TTPD. The baby has been found safe and returned to her mother at this time. Police are continuing the search for Hill at this time.

UPDATE: MISSING BABY RECOVERED AND RETURNED TO MOTHER. The missing baby is from the case yesterday where the father of the child led officers on a high-speed pursuit that resulted in the SUV the father was driving crashing. The father of the child, Wilmer Hill, 21, fled into the woods from the scene of the crash.

Texarkana Arkansas Police officers were called from a neighborhood National Night Out event to investigate the discovery of a body in the 2300 block of Washington Street.

The 2016 Four States Invitational Marching Contest  was held on October 1 at Grim Stadium in Grim Park. The Texarkana Independent School district hosted 22 bands and more than 3,800 students to perform in the annual contest. We have the results including one local school winning the title “Best Band”!
