The Texarkana Texas Fire Department is investigating a Sunday afternoon blaze at B Truck & Trailer Parts on Lake Drive in Texarkana that destroyed a storage building and the contents.

The Texarkana Texas Police Department has arrested 35-year-old Ray Charles Fisher after he attacked a Texarkana Police officer, striking him in the face and head with his fists. After the brief scuffle, he was arrested and charged with Assault on Public Servant, Assault Causing Bodily Injury, Possession of Synthetic Marijuana, and an outstanding warrant for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.

The Miller County Sheriff’s Office is searching for information leading to the arrest of Burglary Suspect Ronald Kris Whitehurst, A.K.A. Kris Endsley.

T.J. Henderson went to social media with his story of his dog being euthanized in the Texarkana Animal Shelter, while he was working to reclaim his friend “Woody”. T.J. is mentally handicapped and was heart broken over the loss of Woody, when our friends at A & B Animal Rescue of Southwest Arkansas stepped in with “Wolfie”.

The new A.D.A. Play Area at Grady T. Wallace Park are bringing some huge smiles to local children. The Texarkana Texas Parks and Recreation Department have completed the installation of the special playground equipment and local kids, like Abel Feutral are LOVING it!

The story of Woody the Chocolate Labrador Retriever has spread across social media in Texarkana. The story that a dog was stolen. then ended up at the shelter and was euthanized while the mentally handicapped owner was trying to find means to reclaim Woody. However, there is much more to the story.

The Liberty Eylau Fire Department responded to a call of a vehicle fire around 10:30 p.m. Friday night at Oil Field Road and Stipp Lane. The vehicle was unattended at the time of the fire, and was noticed and reported by a passerby. 

The Texarkana Texas Police Department has released a graphic with arrest numbers for August 2016. You will see that out of 284 arrests, 234 have been arrested in Bowie County before.

Local Rescues are turning to the public looking for help in the rescue of 10 dogs that were left abandoned at a dilapidated property in Miller County. Local Rescues are at limits with recent efforts to relieve overcrowding at the Shelter. 

The murder of Michael Scott Roberts is still unsolved more than a year after his body was discovered in his Texarkana, Arkansas home. His family has questions and are growing more and more disappointed with the progress of the investigation daily.

Roland Sullivan, 62, was reported missing on Sunday and the TAPD issued a be on the lookout order for him. His family reports that his body was discovered today inside a local church in Texarkana, Arkansas.

Members of the Bi-State Narcotics Task Force and the Miller County Sheriff’s Department has arrested Michael Harrell and charged him with Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance Marijuana and is being held at the Miller County Detention Center.

A truck struck a train this morning around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 67 & Highway 237 (Rondo Road). The driver of the truck was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The Texarkana Arkansas Police are searching for Henry Lee Booker, 44yoa, for outstanding warrants; felony rape warrant and probation violation. A reward is offered for information.

The Texarkana Texas Police department reports that a Labor Day shooting in the Beverly Neighborhood has been reported as an accidental shooting. One man was transferred to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was later airlifted to Little Rock.

The Texarkana Arkansas Police are searching for a man reported missing. 62-year-old Ronald Sullivan was last seen at 205 Miller Street. If you have any information that will lead to his whereabouts please contact the T.A.P.D. Criminal Investigation Division at 903-798-3154.

T.T.P.D. is investigating a shooting that occurred in the Beverly Neighborhood of Texarkana, Texas around 6:30 this evening. Reports are that one man was transported to a local hospital. No word on the severity of his injuries.

John Stroud III was a good friend, and a good man. Stroud passed away Sunday morning after losing a heroic battle with Cancer. He was 54 years old. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday September 9, at First United Methodist Church. A reception for family and friends will be at Texarkana Country Club following the service.
