Friday September 2 and Saturday September 3 have been set aside for the 29th Annual POW/MIA Vigil at our local Korea/Vietnam War Memorial at 7th & Stateline, and hosted by the Texarkana Area Chapter #278 of the Vietnam Veteran’s of America.

Texarkana Texas Police are investigating an early morning crash on Summerhill Rd. that left one man dead from his injuries.
A break in a water main off of Highway 82 was being repaired over the weekend, when crews hit an improperly marked gas line. Crews had to come in and repair the gas line before work could get started on the water line only to find that the part to repair the break would need to be manufactured…
Texarkana Water Utilities reports that there has been a break in a 32 inch water main to a member city and will be shut down for repairs. TWU informed neighboring towns, and those communities are filling their water tanks to ensure no disruption in water services to residents.
A local man has gone missing and police are seeking information from anyone that may know where he is. William Wallace has been reported missing by his friends and co-workers at Hadaway Body Shop in Texarkana. Wallace has not been seen since Tuesday evening.

After decades of going thru downtown Texarkana there are some big changes in store for the 72nd Four States Fair & Rodeo Parade for 2016. Instead of the traditional downtown route, the parade is moving to the Four States Fairgrounds.
A large reward is being offered for information that leads to the recovery of a 2015 John Deere Trackhoe and trailer that was stolen from a business at 2006 W. 7th Street at 5:15 a.m. on August 26th. The theft was caught on surveillance video, watch and share!
