Law enforcement officials in McCurtain County have identified the female remains discovered in the Red River by Texas DoT employees on October 13 near the Highway 259 Bridge. She has been identified as Leiann Gaulden, 51, of Haworth Oklahoma.

The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office has sent a media release from the Arkansas Department of Corrections regarding the COVID -19 related death of an inmate at a Texarkana, Texas hospital.
The latest COVID 19 numbers from our local health authorities. Bowie County currently reports a total of 1,653 positive cases, 1,148 recoveries, and 75 deaths. Miller County reports a total of 1,050 positive cases, 877 recoveries, and 13 deaths. Cass County reports 461 total cases, 403 recoveries, and 21 deaths.

New Boston Texas Police are investigating a case where a 22-year-old woman has died after an attacker cut her unborn baby from her womb. The infant also died. Bowie County officials report that a female suspect in this case has been arrested in Oklahoma.
A Texarkana man has been arrested and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Austin Lindsey has been booked into the Bi-State Jail and bail has not yet been set. Police caught up to Lindsey after he was seen doing donuts in the Walmart parking lot.

The suspect in a recent hit and run incident that left a 51-year-old victim in serious but stable condition after having to be airlifted to a Little Rock hospital for his injuries has been arrested after turning himself into authorities after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Texarkana Texas Police arrested Jimmy Lyons and he is in jail facing burglary charges. Lyons was discovered in the home when the owner returned unexpectedly. She called the police and they found Lyons hiding in the woman’s bathroom.

Police are seeking information on the location of a missing person from Texarkana. Mr. Charlie Lambert, 71, left his daughter’s apartment on College Drive about 7:30 Thursday night, and she hasn’t seen him since. He has not been to his home in Waldo, AR either.
The Texarkana Texas Police are searching for information that will lead to the identity of the person responsible for this case of animal abuse. The suspect’s vehicle was caught on camera.

The Texarkana Texas Police Department is investigating another case of an ATM theft, or this time an attempted theft. Police arrested Reginald Cole of Missouri City, Texas but several other suspects were able to evade arrest after trying to rob the ATM at the Texar branch on Richmond Road.
