Texarkana Texas Police are investigating a shooting incident in the 2300 block of Spruce Street. Police responded to a shooting call just in front of 11:00 am this morning. A 32-year-old victim was found in his yard with multiple gunshots. The suspect is still on the run.

TTPD reports that they have captured the subject of an overnight manhunt. Lucas Scott Lawson has been arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Evading Detention, he is also being charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Arista Apartment Mangager, Erin Mackenzie Megginson, 38, was arrested last week for felony theft by The Texarkana Texas Police Department. Megginson is the property manager at the Arista Apartments, where the thefts are alleged to have occurred.

We have been notified that the gas leak at TAMUT has been contained and the the campus has re-opened at this time. In an effort to keep student, staff and facility safe the campus of Texas A&M University-Texarkana was evacuated this afternoon. Construction crews have severed a gas line on the TAMUT campus. Campus has been evacuated to First Baptist Church on Moores Lane and is closed until further notice. After receiving a tip that a jailer was smuggling contraband into the Bowie County Jail. When searched, Brandy Denise Coulter was found to be in possession of weed and tobacco. Coulter has been arrested and charged with a Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility and booked into the jail. She declined to cooperate with the investigation. Coulter’s bond has been set at $75,000.

The Texarkana Texas Police Department SWAT Team served a search warrant at a home on the corner of 17th and Bowie Streets that resulted in the arrests of Jordyn Pineda-Davis 20, Delvin Williams Jr. 26, and Kiante Williams 25 were arrested on several narcotics charges. Two other men were arrested on unrelated Charges.

The Miller County Sheriff’s Department has arrested three individuals in connection to the shooting on MC 290 in Genoa on Thursday. 21-year-old Kiana Keshaun Montgomery, 19-year-old Shaynesha Martin, and 20-year-old Ke’Erica Turner have been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery for their involvement in the home invasion that is still under investigation.
